This cocktail is delicious but a bit strong for me, but if you can handle it, why not?
Let's start with the origin of the cocktail. Long Island was first created in 1976 by Robert "Rosebud (Rose Bud)" Butts in Hampton Bays, New York.
Rosebud was always talking about mixing tequila, vodka, rum, and gin with a light syrup. Finally, he used this mixture to create a new flavor for a competition (He won the competition👍 )
Oh... And the name comes from the fact that the competition was held in Long Island, New York.
There is more than one story about this drink's origin, but it isn't important which version you believe; after one or two Long Islands, you likely won't remember the drink's origin story anyway...😜
Here is my recipe for Long Island. Enjoy!!!
Ingredients
1-ounce Vodka
1-ounce Rum
1-ounce Tequila
1-ounce gin
1 /2-ounce Triple Sec
1/2 cup cola, or to taste
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

How
Fill a highball glass until it's almost full with ice.
Add vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and triple sec.
Add Coke and finally the lemon juice.
Garnish with a piece of lemon
A quick tip: Try mixing both lemon and lime juice, and don't ever put sugar syrup in Long Island. The cola should have plenty of sugar already...
Bon Appetit !!!
